UK supplier firm membership (Category B) applies to businesses within the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Channel Islands that are engaged in (but not necessarily exclusively) supplying goods or services to the funeral profession.

NAFD’s diverse range of supplier members are a valued part of the NAFD. They are sought for their experience and advice to help shape the future of the sector and enjoy valuable insurance cover options and business benefits which, combined, are worth more than the cost of the supplier membership fee. The NAFD’s supplier members played a particularly important role in supporting funeral firms responding to the pandemic.

Perhaps the greatest benefits of NAFD membership for suppliers, however, are the promotional opportunities – both free and at discounted cost – that enable supplier firms to reach their target audience – the NAFD’s 4,100 funeral home members.

Criteria for supplier membership

  • The business applying for membership must have been open and trading – under its current ownership – for a minimum of six months.
  • The applicant must provide contact details of a minimum of two separate business referees, preferably funeral firms, indicating a proven track record of supplying those businesses for a minimum period of six months. The Association will contact these companies with a reference form.
  • For applicants offering funeral celebrant training services or funeral-related training services, evidence of training accreditation or external body approval is required, together with a copy of any documentation associated with company training certificates that would, if accepted into membership, be produced using the NAFD supplier logo.
  • Category B members are required to register with the Association the trading names and addresses of all outlets operated by the member. This can be as one membership, or as separate memberships.
