The NAFD is shortlisted for three Trade Association Forum awards

Hot on the heels of the Association’s win for Funeral Director Monthly at the inaugural Association Excellence Awards, the National Association of Funeral Directors has been advised that it has also been shortlisted in three categories for the prestigious 2015 Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice awards.

The National Funeral Exhibition has been shortlisted for Exhibition of the Year, the Association’s brand new website – www.nafd.org.uk – has made the cut for Website of the Year, whilst Funeral Director Monthly is in the spotlight again in the Magazine of the Year category.

The TAF Best Practice Awards are recognised and supported by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills which is also a longstanding member of the TAF’s independent final judging panel. The Awards process is also endorsed by NCFE, a premier awarding organisation that is a member of the Federation of Awarding Bodies and are regulated by Ofqual. The Awards are designed to contribute to the success of trade associations and their staff at all levels within the trade association world and help bring them closer to fulfilling their goals, as well as contributing to their learning and development opportunities.

Alan Slater MBE, NAFD Chief Executive Officer, said: “I am absolutely delighted that three of the NAFD’s most important business communication tools have been recognised by the Trade Association Forum awards.

“We are up against extremely tough competition, so it is rewarding that our hard work to re-launch both the website and the magazine, ensuring that both work hard to communicate with the profession and with bereaved families across the UK, have made their respective shortlists. I am also particularly proud that, on the eve of the 2015 National Funeral Exhibition, the show and the many hard working people who pull it together, have been recognised.”

Winners will be revealed at the Awards ceremony in London on 9 July.
